Class One - Inter Hospital transfer
Class Two - Any emergency response where there is known road access to the patient and/or the helicopter can land near the patient.
Class Three - Any emergency response where it is known or suspected that there is no road access to the patient; or the helicopter cannot land near patient;or special lifting or winching equipment will be needed; or the rescue of a patient from a ship or boat.
Class Four - Any emergency response involving the rescue of persons from the sea or rivers that requires specialist (non-medical) personnel.
