The Chatroom can be found on the synirc.net IRC network.

Clicking the following link will launch a web based chat client:

If you already have an IRC client the required details are:

Server: irc.synirc.org
Room: #nzscanners

If you don't have an IRC client you will need to grab one - mIRC [1] is popular for the Windows platform - and once installed type:

/server irc.synirc.net

(into the main status bar) or else search for the SynIRC network in the built-in network list. Connect to any server.

Once connected type:

/join #nzscanners
