Marine VHF/UHF FM

Changes to the international channel allocations come into effect in October 2016.

Current two frequency duplex channels 19, 20, 78 and 79 will be split into 8 simplex channels
The current ship transmit frequencies will be renumbered 1019, 1020, 1078, 1079
The current shore station transmit frequencies become 2019, 2020, 2078 and 2079

Channels 21,22,23,24,25,26,80,81,82,83,84,85 and 86 will be reallocated to digital modes (AIS, DSC etc)

Current repeaters operating on these channels will be assigned new channels. 
(In NZ this affects coastguard repeaters and Nowcasting weather transmitters)
